Kids teach us about climate change

Cool Science is a collaborative effort between the University of Massachusetts Lowell’s Graduate School of Education and the University of Massachusetts Boston's Department of Environmental, Earth, and Ocean Sciences. The Cool Science team brings an inter-disciplinary approach to the challenge of improving public understanding of climate change science. Cool Science aims to engage students, teachers, parents, and the general public with the science of climate change. Students in grades K-12 throughout Massachusetts submit artwork related to climate change in a statewide competition run by the Cool Science team, and six winning pieces are chosen to be featured as advertisements on the Lowell Regional Transit Authority bus lines over a six-month period of time.

Our climate is changing now, even as you read this. Help Cool Science educate the public on how the climate has changed over time and how these changes might impact our lives. Your support will help the team to run the student winner’s artwork on the LRTA buses and in the terminals one day at a time.
